Significant seasons
With my birthday literally 2 days away...
I thought about how your birthday happens annually every year on a set date and you upgrade every year, this year I will be going from 36 to 37. And you expect that something significantly must happen...like waking up wiser or smarter or nicer on that day...
But it made me think how the seasons that we go through in life do not have a set period to them, like a year or a day or a month. They tend to be on their own time frame.
So it doesn't matter that you wake up a year older on your birthday, it depends on what season you are in...and riding out that season and finishing that season with grace and courage, to be a better person of your self than what you were when you went into the new year of your life.
Then someone asked me what will you be leaving behind in the old year and what will you be taking into the new year...and I said that I will be accepting where I am, and working to better myself so that I do not stagnate where I am...
I have to believe there is something bigger and better out there...and it is my choice if I will better myself in this waiting period to be the person which that better and bigger season requires me to be.
